How to Follow Up with Them:

• Real-World Connections: Connect the story back to their personal experiences (e.g., "Remember when we saw a dog like this at the park?").
• Post-Story Reflections: Ask them to draw an alternative ending or tell you their favorite part of the book to gauge comprehension.
